Hops of Healing

and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

I left behind pictures

of white clouds

old men in flowing robes

with long white beards

golden gates

halos and harps

I’m more persuaded these days

of vineyards and orchards

mid-day naps

clean water

wheat, barley, hops

warm pubs

cold beer

enjoyed with the One

who made it all new.
